Lambside House is an elegant option for an intimate celebration. This Georgian Farmhouse features spacious, recently refurbished reception rooms which are the perfect setting for a small ceremony with your closest friends and family.
The house forms the cornerstone of a large courtyard with traditional stone barns on all the other sides, overlooking manicured lawns and surrounded by peaceful pastureland.
Accommodating up to 25 guests for a celebration, couples can also choose to expand their guestlist by hiring a marquee to be placed in the courtyard or neighbouring fields.

The Space
When hiring Lambside House for a function, you have full access to the entire property:
Three reception rooms: There are two spacious, recently refurbished living rooms which are perfect for both ceremonies and celebratory drinks. The two elegant rooms are on either side of a wide hallway with flagstone floor, both with double doors opening out to create a stylish expanse that lends itself to special occasions.
A third ground floor reception room, usually used as a playroom, is a fantastic option for a buffet spread or a separate space for guests to relax.
Open plan kitchen and dining room: The large, well-equipped kitchen and dining room is completely at your disposal. Amenities include an aga and all the kitchen equipment you might require.
Outdoor space: There is a large lawn to the front of the house, overlooking peaceful farmland. A small gazebo could be placed in the garden to provide additional space, or larger marquees could be placed in the adjoining field or in the neighbouring courtyard.
Toilets: There is one toilet on the ground floor plus three in bathrooms upstairs.
Accommodation: There are five bedrooms within Lambside House, sleeping 11 people plus 3 on daybeds and pullouts. Find out more about self-catering accommodation here.
Useful information
Numbers: Up to 25 for a ceremony and informal reception with buffet dining inside Lambside House. More guests can be accommodated if you choose to hire a marquee to be placed in the courtyard or in neighbouring fields – ask us for more information.
Camping and Parking: Plenty of space for parking onsite and within walking distance. Space nearby for camping and campervans.
Children: There is plenty of outdoor play space for children.
Music: There is no set cut off time for music, but we do ask that music is turned down after midnight or that a silent disco is used after this time.
Wedding Licence: No wedding licence but informal, spiritual and humanist ceremonies are welcome. We have some beautiful local churches in the area, including Newton Ferrers, Noss Mayo, Modbury, Bigbury, Holbeton, Plymouth and Ivybridge.
