This Devon beach wedding venue is set right on the South Devon Coast Path and on the doorstep of Dartmoor National Park and neighbouring county Cornwall. There is breathtaking views, secluded beaches and plenty to explore. Rare species of flora and fauna are attracted to the farm due to its organic nature. It is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, abundant with wildlife.

Views of Dartmoor dominate the views to the north, while the beautiful estuary of the River Erme and Mothecombe beach are only a couple of miles away. Boasting 130 acres of sand at low tide, many well known productions – like ‘Sense and Sensibility’ and ‘Hornblower’ have been filmed here.

Explore the charming nearby towns of Kingsbridge, Dartmouth, Salcombe, and Modbury and the vibrant waterfront city of Plymouth, where there are great shops, walks, activities and places to eat.

Carswell Farm is made up of 3 farms. Carswell, Lambside and Caulston stretch over 3 miles along the South Coast which has a mild climate meaning fresh grass and sea air, year round for our dairy cows.

Lambside Farm was once owned by Edward Baring (of the well known bank) and is on the site of the Domesday settlement, ‘Lammeseta’. Edward married the heiress to the adjoining Flete Estate and the carriageway he had built to Noss Mayo now forms part of the coast path. Lambside Farm is also home to our organic dairy cows and calves, producing delious fresh organic milk.

Carswell Farm has a selection of holiday cottages available for accommodation. Ranging from a romantic hideaway for two, to a fabulous Georgian ‘gentleman’s residence’ sleeping fourteen, there is something to suit everyone. All our cottages are close together, so family and loved ones can make the most of the occasion and travel easily to the venue.
